Nuevas tecnologías de la información: herramientas para la educación

Abstract

Vivimos en una sociedad en la que cada vez cobran más importancia la informática, las telecomunicaciones y comunicación audiovisual, estamos en una sociedad audiovisual teleinteractiva en la que habrá más tareas que podremos realizar ante un ordenador multimedia conectado a Internet: teletrabajo, telemedicina, prensa electrónica, cine interactivo... y por supuesto tele-enseñanza. Nos encontramos ante nuevas situaciones que nos exigirán tanto el uso de Internet como instrumento didáctico y como herramienta indispensable de trabajo, como la revisión de los contenidos de los planes de estudios, abriendo un canal comunicativo casi permanente con el profesorado, con los compañeros y con todo el mundo. Los nuevos desarrollos multimedia son las principales infraestructuras disponibles con capacidad para soportar las aplicaciones de los medios de comunicación.

We live in a society in which computing; telecommunications and audio-visual communication are gaining a great importance. We live in an audio-visual interactive society in which there will be more tasks made through the use of a computer connected to the Internet: working, medicine, electronic news, interactive films and of course teaching. We are encountered before new situations, which demand us the use of the Internet as a didactic tool and an essential tool of work. At the same time, these new situations will give the possibility to check the contents of the different curriculum, opening a channel up to communicate in a daily basis with the teaching staff, the classmates and the rest of the world. The new multimedia developments are the main infrastructure available with the capacity to support the media s applications.
