Mujeres e instrucción rural en el desarrollismo español

Abstract

[ES] La exaltación de la vida rural como uno de los ejes ideológicos del régimen franquista se vio respaldada por las actuaciones desempeñadas por la Sección Femenina encaminadas a divulgar la idealización de los trabajos agrícolas y la participación profesional de las mujeres en el ámbito rural. Los esfuerzos de la organización por crear instituciones, centros y acciones formativas al objeto de formar a las mujeres del medio rural convivieron con la emigración masiva de la población rural a las ciudades. En esta situación de profundo contraste nos ha interesado analizar a las Instructoras Diplomadas Rurales, cuerpo profesional encargado de difundir y divulgar las enseñanzas agropecuarias. El tipo de formación que recibieron, la función profesionalizadora que realizaron en los pueblos durante el periodo del desarrollismo español, y su actuación a través de las Cátedras Ambulantes, Hogares Rurales y Granjas-Escuelas van a ser los puntos centrales de este trabajo.

[EN] The exaltation of rural life as one of the ideological axes of the Franco regime was supported by the activities of carried out by the Female Section, aimed at disseminating the idealization of agricultural work and the professional participation of women in the rural context. The efforts of the organization to create teaching institutions, schools and training actions to educate the women of rural areas coexisted with the massive emigration of the rural population to the cities. In this situation of deep contrast we were interested in analysing the Rural Graduate Instructresses, a professional corps in charge of teaching and publicising farming skills. The type of training they received, the professional role they played in villages during the period of the Spanish development policy, and the actions they carried out through the Itinerant Classrooms, Rural Homes and Farm Schools are the central points addressed in this article.
