Los préstamos lingüísticos del inglés en el español del baile urbano: un estudio terminológico de breakdance, waacking y hip hop

Abstract

[SP] This study aims to analyse the influence of English on Spanish through loanwords in the field of street dance. Specifically, it is examined how “breakdance”, “waacking” and “hip-hop” have been integrated into the Spanish-speaking context and how their conceptual relationships have been configured. For this purpose, two parallel corpora were created (in English and Spanish), and analytical tools such as Sketch Engine and the Frame-based Terminology approach were applied. Findings show that these terms are not simply adopted as lexical labels but rather maintain or reshape their conceptual networks depending on social and cultural factors. This highlights language capacity to serve as a bridge between cultures, enabling the dissemination of these artistic expressions across different communities.

[EN] Este trabajo tiene como objeto analizar la influencia del inglés en el español a través de los préstamos lingüísticos en el ámbito del baile urbano. En concreto, se examina cómo «breakdance», «waacking» y «hip hop» se han integrado en el contexto hispanohablante y cómo se han configurado sus relaciones conceptuales. Para ello, se han creado dos corpus paralelos (en inglés y en español) y se han aplicado herramientas de análisis como Sketch Engine y la metodología de la Terminología Basada en Marcos. El estudio demuestra que estos términos no solo se incorporan como etiquetas léxicas, sino que conservan o transforman sus redes conceptuales en función de factores sociales y culturales. De esta forma, se pone de manifiesto la capacidad del lenguaje de actuar como puente entre culturas y difundir estas expresiones artísticas en diferentes comunidades
