[EN] The aim of this paper is to observe the relationship between the attachment style
of teachers in training and the relationships established with students in early childhood
education. The theoretical basis of the work is based on a review of attachment theory,
adult attachment theory and teacher-student relationships, together with the mention of
different authors whose contributions form the theoretical basis of this study. The
research carried out is divided into two parts, the first one has a sample of 26 randomly
selected teachers in training in Early Childhood Education, and the second one focuses
on a case study of 4 teachers selected from the previous study, in training in Early
Childhood Education and in an internship period. For the first part, they were given The
Relationship Questionnaire: Categorization of Adult Attachment Style by Alonso (2002)
and for the second part The Teacher-Student Relationship Scale by Pianta (2001). The
main results suggest that we live with more than one attachment style and that one way
of observing the relationship between this and our way of relating is by observing the
fluctuations of this within these interactions, which is why it is important for teachers to
have knowledge about attachment. All this is discussed at the end of the paper in the light
of the theory or previous studies that serve as a basis for the results obtained. It closes
with some conclusions in which we reflect on the achievement or not of the
aforementioned objective, indicating its limitations, as well as future recommendations,
in order to carry out more specific studies with which to obtain results that are richer and
closer to the reality of a classroom.
